This weekend I finished rewatching one of my favorite TV shows, Heroes. As I finished it, I found myself wondering why I liked the show so much. It didn't have the best writing (some of the dialogue was just not good), and some of the seasons had pretty rushed, unsubstantial storylines. And yet, I love it.
One of the main factors that I love, I think, is that the show has a strong focus on forgiveness and love. In several of the relationships, characters go through cycles of pain, understanding, and forgiveness with one another. And at the end of the day, their love ends up bringing out the best in one another, whether it was romantic love, familial love, or love between friends. It shows me the power that forgiveness and seeing the best in one another can have in our lives and relationships.

I've never seen that show! I'll have to give it a try :)
ReplyDeleteHey I remember that show! I remember it being really gory, but had some depth and power. I think I watched for several seasons for it petered out.
