More than I Realized...

I listen to music way more than I realized. While I'm doing homework, while I'm walking to and from class, while I'm cleaning, I can very often be found with headphones in. I've realized that it's kind of a coping mechanism for me. When I'm stressed, music can calm me down--and since I'm a senior in college, stress is pretty much my constant companion. But even though I music I listen to is pretty upbeat and pretty stimulating (like Taylor Swift, Panic! at the Disco, and Tegan and Sara), it still calms me down. Maybe it's because music is a distraction! But either way, I'm grateful that music can help me focus and calm down so much. Even though media can be negative when used too much, I love appreciating the good that media has done for me in my life.

  3. I love that music can do so much for us! I find that it is such a great motivator for me when I have a lot of things to get done. So may different types of music for lots of different needs!
