We all have to have our hobbies where we can just relax and not think for a while. For me, a show I watch to destress is Psych. I was in Toronto for a research conference last weekend, and it was amazing--but it was also very overwhelming. It was my first international conference, and I was presenting a poster, which was terrifying.
One night, one of my coworkers and I decided to go buy a bunch of chocolate and just watch an episode of Psych. It did wonders to help us both relax--Psych is hilarious, and the humor helped us escape from the stress of presenting for a little while. I also appreciate that it helped me feel closer to my coworker. It reminded me that media can help us connect with one another, and I was so grateful for that this weekend!
